Manage Alert Subscribers in Work Order Types List

Choose who is emailed when work orders of a given type are closed.

Purpose

Elevated Signals can email people whenever a work order of a particular type is closed. Subscriptions are managed on the work order type, so everyone on the list is notified for every work order of that type.

What can you do with it?

Subscribing keeps the people who care about a piece of work in the loop without anyone having to remember to tell them. A QA lead can be notified every time a Harvest work order closes, for example, or a production manager every time a Drying run finishes.

You can subscribe yourself with a single button, or add other users to the subscriber list for that type.

How is it done?

  1. Navigate to the Work Orders List page.

  2. Click Work Order Settings in the top right to reach the Work Order Types page.

  3. Click the work order type you want to manage. The Update a Work Order Type panel opens.

  4. Click Subscribe at the top of the panel to add yourself. This will notify you via email when a work order of this type is closed.

  5. Use the Subscribed Users field below the name to add other people. Click Select Users and search for each person you want to add.

  6. Save the panel to apply your changes.

Important Considerations

  • Notifications are sent by email, and they are triggered when a work order of that type is closed. There is no notification when a work order is opened or when its status changes.

  • Subscriptions belong to the work order type, not to an individual work order. You cannot subscribe to a single work order on its own.

  • Removing someone from the Subscribed Users field unsubscribes them from that type.

  • The bell icon in the header is a different feature. That panel shows sensor threshold alerts only, and its Manage Alerts link lets you subscribe yourself to rooms or to individual sensors within a room. It has no bearing on work order subscriptions.

Best Practices

  • Subscribe roles, not everyone. A long subscriber list on a high-volume work order type turns into noise that people learn to ignore.

  • Review the subscriber list when someone changes role or leaves, so notifications keep reaching a person who acts on them.

  • Use it on the types where closure actually matters — the ones that hand work to another team or trigger a QA step.
